A special meeting of the City Council was called to order by Mayor
Keller with the following present:

The invocation was given by Mayor Keller.
PURPOSE OF THE MEETING:
Discussion and possible action on the following items:
1. City Hall Plans.
2. Ditching Machine.
3. Police Radar Unit.
4. Nottingham Partition.
5. S. H. 35 Freeway.
CITY HALL PLANS:
Councilman Griffin explained revised plans for the City Hall and
Police Building.
DITCHING MACHINE:
City Administrator discussed possibility of purchasing crawler type
ditching machine and submitted specifications for approval by the Council.
It was moved by Councilman Griffin, seconded by Councilman McComb that
the City Administrator be authorized to advertise for bids for a
T 600 Power Trencher or equal as set out in the specification submitted
by him. Motion passed 4 to 0.
RADAR BIDS:
The following bids were received on Police Radar Units:

It was moved by Councilman Black, seconded by Councilman McComb that
the bid be awarded to the Muni Quip Corporation as the lowest and best
bidder. Motion passed 4 to 0.
NOT'T'INGHAM PARTITION:
Plat of Nottingham Subdivision referred to the Drainage District and
Planning Commission for their approval.
S. H. 35 FREEWAY:
i
Mayor Keller read a letter addressed to County Judge Arnold from W. E.
Carmichael, District Engineer, District No. 12, dated December 23, 1969,
regarding Brazoria County Proposed S. H. 35 Freeway along with Summary
of Corridor Route Study. Mayor Keller to contact Judge Arnold
for meeting of Council and Commissioner's Court regarding this
letter.
CITY ADMINISTRATOR:
City Administrator discussed two way radios for Water & Sewer Department
and also a request from the Pearland Independent School District
regarding the part-time opening of Jasmine between Park and Grand.
