AUGUST 8, 1963
A special meeting of the Pearland City Counci l.v"*as called to order -by iuiayor
Gibbons at 7:30 P. II, in the Pearland Bank Building with the following
city officials in attendance
la.yor - E. T. Gibbons
Aldermen- Victor A. Nolen, John Kegley, Tom Alexander,
David L. Smith.
Engineers William C. :'Walsh
10ayor Gibbons opened t% meeting at 7:30 P. P%y stating -the purpose
of the meting was to discuss the next steps to be taken in three road develop-
ment plan. Yr. 'fialsh was instructed to prepare an oti line of the area
of influence for each toi,,r_; Pearland, A-;anvel , and. Brookside Village
so that work can proceed with selection of -roads. A group meeting will then
be scheduled to advise the people.
h7r. l alsh advised that he has been to Fort 'VIorth and met with the Government
on planning grants for Pearland. This material was discussed and Mr.
Walsh requested the council to consider the various vaays to finance the
long range planning.
A special meeting was called for 6:30 P. N. August 15, 1963.
The Mayor indicated he vaill meet with the water district to discuss the
water and sewerage problems for the city and water district®
