Walsh su V,es-ted changes to. the plAts to meet city requirements aria re_quested.>Ir.iLoude_x to make the necessary corrections and, report. back to the'-couno-i-1=:• Mr. Tom Alexander reported thpt 'the garbage dump has been"c leaned up again by the drainage district and suns are needed to designate the area and penalty for dumping in the ditches. A motion was made by Tom Alexander and seconded by Ve A. Nolen that proper signs be purchased imrrediately t o sign the garbage dump. All Aldermen voted "Aye" with no "Does". A motion was made by John Kegley that the street and bridge committee have the signs prepared and the sanitation committee install the signs. Motion seconded by V. 'n. Nolen. Aldermen, Nolen, Smith, Kegley and Alexander voted '�Aye't, Gene Sanders voted "Ho". The motion carried. A motion was made by David L. Smith and seconded by Gene Sanders tlFxt ordinance No6O be adopted to authorize the State highway Department to install a traffic signal and lumination light at the intersection of highway 35 and Brooddide hoad. All. Aldermen voted 11111 -ye'" with no "Noes'. RS.ayor Gibbons discussed the recent meeting of the joint water district and city council comirittee regarding the city taking over the ,water distrio ts: -- desk will proceed to resolve part of the problems -so a decision can be reached in t! -e near future by the city. A motion was made by John Kegley that the street and bridge department be authorized to grade and shell the alley way between Plum and Jasmine Streets on ea.W side of 11i,-:hway 35 with cost not to exceed $450.00. lvlotion seconded by Tom Alexander. 1r. Sanders suggested that the road be black -topped. After due discussion it was agreed that topping could come later. Aldermen Nolen, Alexander, Kegley and Smith voted "Aye" with Sanders obstaining. on the original motion. _Mr. David L.
