The minutes of the neetir__. of Acerber 5, 1963 were read corrected and
approved.

!Mayor Gi' bons read a letter from the City Attorney expressing an opinion
on Councilman. -Sanders inquiry regarding the ;fanner of councilmen filing
as candidates for t�� office of Alderman.
Yr. Rou rk was nest asked t0 discuss his gull club plans. He elaborated
at Ilength on the subject =ad he As advised of the work done by the
comrdttee on this project. He was instructed to proceed-1^..Wthe
petition as recommended by the committee.
1':ZG.','or Gibbons requested Mr. Nalsh to elaborate on the inspection of the
topping of the streets in Nestmi nist: r Subdivision. ;r. ' alsh reported
the topping to be satisfactory.

bond on the streets in - estminister Subdivision be released. All
Aldermen voted "Aye" with rG "Noes". 11
Gibbons rfzad a. letter fro:-, the hiEhway depar~t '-ent concerning speed
zone ordinance. This subject was discussed anj !``r. Smith was instructed
to contact the h,ghway department and discuss the retised ordinance for
speed so that the city can take action on the ordinance.
Mayor Gibbons read a letter from Donald R. Greg, requesting ^-pe2i1 t

Rayor Gibbons rgad a lettcr from Tr. Bill lLomoser requesting a permit
to operate a taxi service in Pearland. ,

A motion was made by Gibbons, seconded by John Kegley that the .fees by
