A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Pearland, Texas,
authorizing the sole source purchase of an alerting system for Fire
Station #2 in the amount of $54,740.60 from Purvis Systems.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PEARLAND, TEXAS:
Section 1. That the City Council hereby authorizes the sole source purchase
of an alerting system for Fire Station #2, in the amount of $54,740.60, from Purvis
Systems.
Section 2. That the City Manager or his designee is hereby authorized to
execute a contract for the purchase of an alerting system for Fire Station #2.
PASSED. APPROVED and ADOPTED this the 14t" day of September. A.D.. 2015.

Project Roles and Responsibilities
PURVIS SYSTEMS
PURVIS's role will include:
✓ Project management
o Project Manager
o Develop/Update/Deliver Project and Cutover plans
o Coordinate and attend regular project/technical meetings and provide status reports
o Provide configuration & requirements documentation
o Interface with customer and installation vendor
o Travel costs for planned onsite meeting(s) and cutover
✓ Provide all software and hardware
✓ Install FSAS software in the fire station

✓ Testing and cutover
• Pearland Fire Department's role will include:
✓ Coordination of access to all locations
✓ Fire station site surveys to determine/confirm hardware placement
✓ Install cabling and all delivered hardware in the fire station
✓ Provide station radio and radio programming for audio over radio
o Station radio must have Two Tone activated "open collector" or "dry contact" outputs to support Station
Control Unit activation
✓ Provide testing support

Project Assumptions
PURVIS SYSTEMS
Project Assumptions:
✓ Prior to the cutover of the PURVIS FSAS in the City of Pearland, the required dispatch components of the system will have
already been purchased by Harris County and installed and configured at the Harris County
Emergency Corps (HCEC) facility. Required dispatch components include PURVIS FSAS Central Servers, DM Console(s), and
Radio Interface Unit(s), as well as an interface to the County's TriTech CAD system through the PURVIS FSAS Application
programming Interface (API).
✓ Audio over radio functionality is contingent on Harris County Emergency Corps HCEC audio over radio
implementation.
✓ The PURVIS FSAS will provide a dry contact output relay that will be configured to activate a Pearland supplied
gas shutoff control device.
✓ All Station Control Units (SCU) connected to the HCEC Central Servers must be on the same software revision for both the first
year and follow on years. This requirement includes all departments dispatched by HCEC
and not only Pearland.
