R93-22 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING, DIRECTING, AND RATIFYING PLACEMENT AND ERECTION OF CERTAIN STOP SIGNS WITHIN THE CITY OF PEARLAND, TEXAS, SO AS TO CREATE A FOUR-WAY STOP INTERSECTION AT THE INTERSECTION OF ALEXANDER LANE AND SOUTH LEE CIRCLE; A TEE-WAY STOP INTERSECTION AT THE INTERSECTION OF ALEXANDER LANE AND SOUTH THREE SISTERS CIRCLE; A FOUR-WAY STOP INTERSECTION AT THE INTERSECTION OF ALEXANDER LANE AND LONDON COURT (ALEXANDER LANDING SUBDIVISION); AND A THREE-WAY STOP INTERSECTION AT THE INTERSECTION OF LEROY STREET AND JAMES STREET (HAZELDALE SUBDIVISION). WHEREAS, Texas Revised Civil Statutes Annotated, Article 6701d, Section 91(a) provides, in part, that local authorities may, with reference to highways under their jurisdiction, designate any intersection as a stop intersection; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PEARLAND, TEXAS: Section 1. Pursuant to the grant of authority contained in the preamble hereof, the following intersections are designated as stop intersections: Upon Alexander Lane at its intersection with South Lee Circle (four-way); Upon Alexander Lane at its intersection with South Three Sisters Circle (three- way); Upon Alexander Lane at its intersection with London Court (four-way); Upon Leroy Street at its intersection with James Street (three-way). Section 2. The City Manager or his designated agent is hereby authorized and 'directed to place and erect stop signs conformable with the Manual and Specifications for Uniform Traffic Control Devices as adopted by the State Highway Commission as near as practicable at the nearest line of the crosswalks thereof, or, if none, at the nearest line of the roadway. 1 PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Pearland, Texas, this /O day of ~~ , A.D., 1993.
