1962-01-04 CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES'V 151 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE PEARLAND CITY COUNCIL HELD JANUARY 4, 1962 IN THE CITY HALL OF SAID CITY The regular meeting of the Pearland City Council was called to order at 7:30 P. M. in the City Halt by Mayor Gibbons with the.foLtowing City officials and guests in attendance: Mayor E. T. Gibbons Aldermen Tom Alexander, David L. Smith and Victor A. Nolen Attorney Jack Harrison Fire Chief Buddy Ellis Police D. C. Sanders The minutes of the meeting'of December 21, 1961 were .read, corrected and approved. Alderman Smith, Treasurer, reported a balance on hand of $367,64 as of January 4, 1962 A motion was made by Alderman Nolen and seconded by Alderman Alexander that Highway Department commission lvlinute Order No. 50437 dated November 30, 1961, be approved to provide for installation of storm sewage, curbing and widening of State Highway 518, between Washington Avenue and Sata Fe Railroad and between Houston Avenue and Park Avenue within the City of PearLand, Texas. ALL Aldermen voted "AYE" with no "NOES" . Alderman Nolen made a motion that Ordinance #46 be adopted providing for regulating the moving of houses in the City of PearLand Streets. Motion was seconded by Alderman Alexander. All Aldermen voted "AYE" withno "NOES'. Mayor Gibbons discussed the need for a cash bond for out of town traffic offenders to reduce the number of outstanding cases on the City recorder's docket.
