MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE PEARLAND
CITY COUNCIL HELD June 15, 1961
The regular meeting of the PearLand City Council was called to
order on the 15th day of June, A. D. 1961 in the City Hall with the following
officials' and guests in attendance:

The minutes of the meeting of May 18 and June 1 were read and
approved as read.
Mayor Gibbons west asked for a report from the Treasurer.
Alderman Hawkins reported $4,349.49 in the treasury as of June 15, 1961.
Motion was made by Alderman Parker and seconded by Alderman
Alexander that the following List of bills be paid:

WHEREUPON the question was asked and the motion was carried w th'ali -"
present voting "AYE".
A motion was made by Alderman Paxkekand seconded by Alderman
Hawkins that Plat and Dedication of the Regency Park Development Company
Subdivision known as Regency Park Section I be approved and accepted as a
subdivision and addition to the City of PearLand, with conditions that the bond
to construct and complete streets in accordance with County andCity specifi-
cations be approved and filed with the City of Pearland and or County Treasurer
also on condition that said streets will be built and completed and provided that
two separate bonds not be required. Aldermen Parker, Nolen, Alexander and
Hawkins voted for the motion. Alderman Smith abstained. The ayes being in
the majority the motion carried.

A motion was made by Alderman Nolen, seconded by Alderman
Parker that when the bond of Regency Park Subdivision has been filed with
the City Secretary conditioned for compLeteion of the streets according to
specifications of City and County that County Treasurer and the Commissioners
Courtbeforwarded certified copy of said bond. WHEREUPON the question was
asked and the motion carried with all Aldermen voting AYE".
A motion was made by ALderman.Smith and seconded by Alderman
Nolen that the City acquire car insurance for the City Car to provide $:100.00
deductabLe, $100,000.00 and $200,000.00 Liability medical coverage; $2,000.00
death benefits; $5,000.00 and $10,000.00. ALL Alderman voted "AYE".
A motion was made by Alderman Nolen and seconded by Alderman
Alexander that the City enter into an agreement with Regency Park for the
payment of electrical bills for two 20,000 Lumen mercury vapor street Lights
at intersection of 518 and old Alvin Road at the entrance to Regency Park
Subdivision for a period of five years payable annually in advance as per
agreement. Rent to start on date fights are installed. WHEREUPON the
question was asked and the motion carried with all Aldermen voting "AYE".
The City Secretary was advised to write the County Health Officer
to inspect Haleck Washateria for health problems.
A motion was made by Alderman Alexander an seconded by Alderman
Nolen that Fire Marshal Ellis be sent to the Fireman's Training School July
23 through July 28, 1961 at A&M College, Bryan, Texas, WHEREUPON the
question was asked and the motion carried with all Aldermen voting "AYE",
with no "NOES."
There being no further business the meeting was adjourned;
