A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PEARLAND, TEXAS, AWARDING A BID FOR CONSTRUCTION
SERVICES ASSOCIATED WITH INTERSECTION MODIFICATIONS AT
DIXIE FARM ROAD AND WESTFIELD LANE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PEARLAND, TEXAS:
Section 1. That the City opened bids for construction services associated with
intersection modifications at Dixie Farm Road and Westfield Lane, and such bids have
been reviewed and tabulated.
Section 2. That the City Council hereby awards the bid to SCI Constructors, Inc.
in the amount of $$0,140.00.
Section 3. The City Manager or his designee is hereby authorized to execute a
contract for construction services associated with intersection modifications at Dixie Farm
Road and Westfield Lane.

INTERSECTION MODIFICATION

To the Mayor and City Council

The undersigned as bidder declares that the only person or parties interested in this proposal as
principals are those named herein; that this proposal is made without collusion with any person, firm or
corporation; that he has carefully examined the Form of Contract, Notice to Bidders Specifications,
field conditions, and classes of material of the proposed work and agrees that he will provide all the
necessary labor, machinery, tools, apparatus and other items incidental to construction, and will do all
the work and furnish all the materials called for in the contract and specifications in the manner
prescribed therein and according to the requirements of the City as there in set forth.
Accompanying this proposal is a Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Bidder's Bond payable to
the City of Pearland Texas in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the largest possible bid
combination submitted. The bid security will be returned to the Bidder, unless this bid is accepted and
the Bidder fails to enter into a Contract with the City and furnish the required bonds within fifteen (15)
days after the acceptance of this Proposal, in which case the deposit shall be forfeited and becomes the
property of the City, as liquidated damages.
The bidder agrees that if his proposal is accepted to execute a contract and furnish performance
bond and payment bond each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total contract puce,
according to the specified forms for performing and completing the said work within the time stated
and furnishing a satisfactory maintenance bond in the amount of 100% of the construction cost
indemnifying the City against defective workmanship and material for a period of one (1) year.
It is understood and agreed that the work shall be commenced no later than ten (10) calendar
days after written notice to commence work has been received and that the work is to be completed in
full within 60 calendar days after the date on which written notice to commence work was received.
It is furt ' r agreed that the quantities of work to be done and materials to be furnished may be
increased or decreased as may be considered necessary, in the opinion of the Engineer, to complete
the work fully as planned and contemplated. Adjustment for changes in work will be in accordance
with paragraph 8.03 of the General Conditions of Agreement.
