Total = S11,250 These features GTG recommends converting in-house, as much of the initial data gathering must be done by specific departments. The following is an estimate of the cost for GTG to do the conversion, once the necessary data has been collected Feature Hours ] S/hour t Total Notes Beer Pemfits 8 S75 I $600 Address Matching. I Total = S2,400 Public Works features data collection estimate: 323 Fire Hydrants, 802 ma~oles, and 617 water valves were GPS's previously. This represents app?ximately 1/3 of the total number of features in town. Feature Points S/point Total Notes Fire Hydrants 650 $7 $4,550 Manholes 1600 $7 $11,200 Water Valves 1300 $7 $9,100 Total = $24,850 A good rule of thumb is that the data construction portion of the data collection (i.e. obtaining attribute data from the as-builts, constructing the water and sewer mains from the as-builts) will cost approximately as much as the GPS data collection itself. Therefore, $24,850 x 2 -- $49,700 Because no attribute data is associated with the 1/3 of the total features that were only G?S'd, data construction costs will also be associated with them. $24, 850 / 2 = $12,425 $49,700 + $12,425 = S62,125 Additionally, travel, lodging, and per-diem expenses ma>' be incurred, therefore, $67,000 is a reasonable estimate for the entire data collection, construction for the Year 2 Public Works features. City-wide data conversion $11,250 Public Works data collection and conversion $67,000 Total $78,250 *These are estimates. GTG or any other consultant would need to specifically know how in-depth the data collection process would be before giving a formal estimate. GTG will create a separate document with pricing for various scenarios.
