R79-3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PEARLAND, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS AND TRANSPORTATION TO PLACE PASSIVE WARNING DEVICES AT PUBLIC RAILROAD GRADE CROSSINGS IN THE CITY OF PEARLAND, TEXAS, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AGREEMENT. WHEREAS, by signed contract the State Department of Highways $ Transportation maintains Highway 35 and F. M. 518 through the city limits of Pearland, and WHEREAS, by letter dated January 16, 1979, Omer F. Poorman, District Engineer, District 12 of the State Department of Highways & Transporation requested permission to install reflectorized signing and pavement markings at the railroad grade crossinggunder the City's jurisdiction; now therefore BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PEARLAND, TEXAS: That authority is hereby granted to the State Department of Highways and Transportation for the placement of passive warning devices at public railroad grade crossings in the City of Pearland, and that the Mayor is hereby authorized to sign the Agreement with the State enclosed in the District Engineer's letter of January 16, 1979.
