A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PEARLAND, TEXAS, SUSPENDING THE
OPERATION OF PROPOSED RATE SCHEDULES FILED BY TEXAS-NEW
MEXICO POWER COMPANY FOR A PERIOD OF NINETY (90) DAYS BEYOND
THE DATE ON WHICH SUCH SCHEDULES WOULD OTHERWISE GO INTO
EFFECT.
WHEREAS, Texas-New Mexico Power Company ("TNMP") did, on April
12, 1990, file a schedule of rates for service within the City of
Peartand, to become effective May 18, 1990; and
WHEREAS, after having considered the presentation of TNMP, it is
the opinion of the City Council of the City of Pearland, that such
schedule of rates should be suspended for a period of 90 days from May
18, 1990, for further study, investigation, and presentation of
evidence at a public hearing; and
WHEREAS, a copy of this Resolution has been provided TNMP.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PEARLAND, TEXAS:
Pursuant to Section 43 (d) of the Public Utility Regulatory Act,
the operation of TNMP proposed rate schedules filed with the City of
Pearland, on April 12, 1990, is hereby suspended for a period of 90
days from May 18, 1990, for further study, investigation, and
presentation of evidence at a public hearing.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Pearland, Texas, on this __/_~__ day of ~ __, A.D., 1990.
