A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING PLACEMENT AND
ERECTION OF CERTAIN STOP SIGNS WITHIN THE SUNSET MEAD-
OWS SUBDIVISION.
WHEREAS, Texas Revised Civil Statutes Annotated Article
6701d, Section 91(a) provides, in part, that local authorities
may, with reference to highways under their jurisdiction, desig-
nate any intersection as a stop intersection; and
WHEREAS, the report of the Traffic Engineer submitted on the
13th day of December, A. D., 1990, is attached hereto and made a
part hereof as Exhibit "A,", concerning the installation of
traffic control devices; Now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PEARLAND:
Section One. Pursuant to the grant of authority contained
in the preamble hereof, the following intersections are designat-
ed as stop intersections:
One Stop Sign northbound, Northdale Drive at Woodchase
Drive.
Two Stop Signs eastbound and westbound, Gulfton Drive at
Northdale Drive.
One Stop Sign southbound, Northdale Drive at Chesterwood
Drive.
Two Stop Signs northbound and southbound, Blue Heron Drive
at N. Sunset Drive.
Section Two. The City Manager and/or his designated agent
is hereby authorized and directed to place and erect stop signs
conformable with the Manual and Specifications for Uniform
Traffic Control Devices as adopted by the State Highway Commis-
sion as near as practicable at the nearest line of the crosswalks
thereof, or, if none, at the nearest line of the roadway.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED by the City Council of the City

As requested we have analyzed the conditions of Sunset Meadows
and are recommending the following locations for stop signs:
t. Northbound Northdale Dr, at Woodchase Drive
2. Eastbound and westbound Gulfton Dr. at Northdale Dr.
3. Southbound Northdale Dr. at Chesterwood Dr.
4. Northbound and Southbound Blue Heron Dr. at N. Sunset Dr.
These locations are based on the driving patterns required by the
layout of the subdivision and by observation during a morning
peak hour. if you have any questions or comments on this please
