A RESOLUTION AND ORDER OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PEARLAND, TEXAS, CASTING VOTES FOR CANDIDATES FOR THE
FORT BEND COUNTY APPRAISAL DISTRICT BOARD OF DIRECTORS.
WHEREAS, V.T.C.A. TX Code, Section 6.03(g) provides that the governing body of
each taxing unit is entitled to vote for members of the Board of Directors of the County
Appraisal District, and shall determine its vote by Resolution and submit to the Chief
Appraiser by December 15, 2011; and
WHEREAS, the City of Pearland is entitled to vote and desires to cast votes for the
positions to be filled on the Board of Directors of the Fort Bend County Appraisal District;
now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PEARLAND, TEXAS:
That the Official Ballot for the candidates of the Board of Directors of the Fort Bend
County Appraisal District, shown as Exhibit "A is attached hereto and made a part hereof
for all purposes.
II.
That said Official Ballot indicates thereon the number of votes for each candidate
cast by the City Council of the City of Pearland.
III.
That the City Secretary is hereby authorized and directed to submit the Official
Ballot containing the votes cast by the City Council of the City of Pearland, Texas, and a
certified copy of this Resolution to the Chief Appraiser of Fort Bend County by December
15, 2011.

Section 6.03 of the Texas Property Tax Code requires five directors to bo appointed by the
taxing units that participate in the district as provided by this section. Members of the board
of directors,other than a county assessor-collector serving as a nonvoting director, serve two-
year terms beginning on January 1 of even-numbered years.

Enclosed is the election ballot for the Board of Directors of the � Central
Appraisal District. A ballot is sent to each voting entity as required the chief appraiser.
Property Tax Code. Only one ballot is to be sent for each entity
to The ballot lists each candidate in alphabetical order by their surname. The upper portion
of the ballot shows the entity and the number of votes to cast in the election.
A governing body may cast itsall o votes one candidate or distribute them among
candidates for any number ofdirectorships.
Each taxing
unit entitled to vote shall determine its vote by resolution and submit
to the chief
