the City of Pearland, Brazoria County, Texas, convened in regular session

and constituting a quorum and among other proceedings the foLLowing was

and moved its adoption. The Motion was seconded by Councilman

and came to be considered the return of election heLd on April 3, 1962, for
the purpose of electing the hereinafter named officiaLs and it appearing from
said return, duly and Legally made that there was cast at said eLection

votes, which were legal and valid votes and each of said candidates
in said election received the foLLowing votes:
For Mayor:
E. T. Gibbons 026,Q votes;
Berry MiLLer, Sr, aq/ Q votes;
For Councilman:

Therefore, be it RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Pear[and, Brazoria County, Texas, that said election was duly cai[ed;
that Notice of said e[ectionwas given in accordance with the law and that
said election was held in accordance wi~h the law and that E. T. Gibbons
was duly elected Mayor of said City at said election and David L. Smith
, Gene Sanders and John Keg[ey
were duly elected Councilman at said election and said above named
parties are hereby declared duly elected to said respective offices, subject
to taking the Oath and filing bond as required by the State of Texas.
