WHEREAS, The duly elected Charter Commission of the City of Pearland, Texas, has
framed a new Home-Rule Charter in and for the City of Pearland, Texas and;
WHEREAS, the said Charter Commission has designated February 6, 1971, as the election
date on which said Home-Rule Charter is to be submitted to the qualified voters of the
City of Pearland, Texas, for adoption or rejection, and;

The mauner of holding sakt election shall be governed, as neat- as may be, by the General Election Laws of the
State of Texas, except as modified by the provisions of Chapter 2, Title 28, Vernon's Revised Civil Statutes of the
State of Tex~s, Revision of 19~5, as amended, and none but resident qualified
voters {o~ of said City shall be allowed to vote at said election.

The City Secretary% hereby authorized and directed to cause said notice to be given as hereinabove directed and
further orders are reserved until the returns of said election are made by the duly authorized election officials and re-
