As you know, Mayor Aaron E. Holland of Bunker HL11 g_ 11 , has served in this capacity since September, 1967. Mayor Holland has advised this office that he is willing to continue representing General Law Cities on the Execu- tive Committee, . if. they desire. Please notify the H-GAC as promptly as possible, in writing, if your City Council elects to ask Mayor Holland to continue as your representative. Resolution form is enclosed in duplicate for your convenience. In the event your Council prefers to hold a convention of General Law Cities (see list attached) , which are members of the H-GAC, in order to elect a representa- tive and an official alternate, please advise immediately so arrangements can be made. The General Law Cities named Mayor Thomas P. Grant, Jr. , of Missouri City as the alternate last year, and this position is also now open for re-appointment of Mayor Grant or electing a successor. If a majority of the General Law Cities respond by returning the enclosed Resolution forms, obviously a meeting will not be necessary. . The Houston- Galveston Area Council and your present representatives, Mayors Holland and Grant, are anxious to comply with your wishes and would most appreciate an early reply.
