Re: 2011-2014 Transportation Improvement Program Call for Projects—STP-MM and CMAQ

The Houston-Galveston Area Council(H-GAC)is pleased to announce a"Call for Projects"to
select new projects for funding in the 2011-2014 Transportation Improvement Program(TIP). H-GAC's
Transportation Policy Council(TPC)approved the 2011-2014 TIP at its June 25,2010 meeting. The TIP
is the implementation tool for the 25-year Regional Transportation Plan(RTP).This program of projects
identifies 4 years of priority projects selected for federal funding from the RTP as well as locally funded
projects ready for implementation. Funds are available for new projects to be added to the TIP in the
Surface Transportation Program—Metro Mobility(STP-MM)and Congestion Mitigation/Air Quality
Improvement Program(CMAQ)funding categories.
The submittal packet for the Call for Projects can be downloaded from the H-GAC website at
http://www.h-gac.com/taq/tip/call_for projects.aspx. In this packet you will fmd a project submittal form
in Excel format and a selection schedule as well as guidelines for the readiness and selection criteria that
will be used in the selection process. Project proposals are due by 5:00 p.m.October 29,2010.
Proposals received after the deadline will not be accepted.
