A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PEARLAND,
TEXAS, DETERMINING CHARGES FOR GARBAGE AND TRASH SERVICE
FURNISHED BY THE CITY, AS PROVIDED IN CHAPTER 12, SECTION
12-31 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
WHEREAS, Chapter 12, Article II, Section 12-31 of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Pearland, Texas, provides that the charges
and fees for the consumption of services furnished by the City shall
be determined by the City Council from time to time and the same shall
be on file in the office of the City Secretary; and
WHEREAS, it has been heretofore determined by the City Council
that the present schedule of charges for commercial establishments
using City owned garbage and trash containers does not conform to the
size of containers now furnished by the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the charges for
garbage and trash service furnished by the City should be brought up-
to-date in all respects;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PEARLAND, TEXAS:
That the monthly charges

The above charges allow for periodical vacancies; therefore, no
credit will be given where a vacancy develops. Said charges will be
debited to each water meter account while the account is active.

That the monthly charges for the collection of garbage ~nd trash
in the City of Pearland for commercial establishments utilizing City
owned containers be based on a rate of $8.00 per cubic yard. The
following monthly rate schedule is based on the use of three (3) cubic
yard containers. The number of containers used and the number of
collections per week will be based on the magnitude of the refuse
stream and on its composition.
