MINUTES OF A PUBLIC HEARING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PEARLAND, TEXAS, HELD ON SEPTEMBER 18, 2000, AT 6:30 P.M., IN THE COUNCIL
CHAMBERS, CITY HALL, 3519 LIBERTY DRIVE, PEARLAND, TEXAS.
The meeting was called to order with the following present:

PURPOSE OF HEARING - PROPOSED ANNEXATION
To consider the proposed annexation of approximately 100 acres generally located
northeasf`of Clear Creek and southwest of EI Franco Lee County Park, the westerly line
being the centerline of Clear Creek, the northeasterly line being the southwesterly line of
EI Franco Lee County Park, and the southeasterly line being the northwesterly line of that
certain tract described in a deed dated 06-04-1981 from John Alexander, Trustee to Sue
Alexander as filed in Official Records of Real Property of Harris County at Clerk's File
Number H-178351 File Code Number 197-91-2325.
STAFF REVIEW OF PROPOSED SERVICE PLAN
Manager of Administrative Support, Tobin Maples, stated the City has received a request
for annexation from the owners of approximately 100 acres, adjacent to the City limits along
Clear Creek. This property is a portion of the prosed Beazer Golf Course Development.
He further stated that Staff has held preliminary discussions with the applicant regarding the
future zoning, and the property will temporally be zoned (SD) Suburban Development until
permanent zoning is established by Council. He further stated the applicant has requested
that the annexation ordinance be considered on one reading on October 9, 2000. Mr.
Maples stated the service plan for this annexation is identical to all the other annexation
service plans in the City of Pearland.

COUNCIUSTAFF DISCUSSION
Councilmember Beckman stated that due to the time constraints she does not have a
problem considering the annexation ordinance on one reading.
