MINUTES OF A PUBLIC HEARING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PEARLAND, TEXAS, HELD ON SEPTEMBER 11, 2000, AT 6:30 P.M., IN THE COUNCIL
CHAMBERS, CITY HALL, 3519 LIBERTY DRIVE, PEARLAND, TEXAS.
The meeting was called to order with the following present:

PURPOSE OF HEARING - PROPOSED ANNEXATION
To consider the proposed annexation of approximately 100 acres generally located
northeast of Clear Creek and southwest of EI Franco Lee County Park, the westerly line
being the centerline of Clear Creek, the northeasterly line being the southwesterly line of
EI Franco Lee County Park, and the southeasterly line being the northwesterly line of that
certain tract described in a deed dated 06-04-1981 from John Alexander, Trustee to Sue
Alexander as filed in Official Records of Real Property of Harris County at Clerk's File
Number H-178351 File Code Number 197-91-2325.
STAFF REVIEW OF PROPOSED SERVICE PLAN
Manager of Administrative Support, Tobin Maples, stated this is a request for voluntary
annexation of approximately 100 acres. This property is adjacent to the City limits along
Clear Creek which is located in Harris County. This property is a portion of the Beazer Golf
Course development. Mr. Maples further stated the applicant has requested that the
annexation ordinance be approved on a single reading, and the Staff will be waiting for
instruction regarding the preparation of the annexation ordinance.

CITIZEN COMMENTS
Dan Olsen, Beazer Homes, addressed Council and stated that Beazer Homes has
requested this annexation, and have also requested the single reading of the annexation
ordinance. He stated they need the single reading because of the time element. It is
necessary for the closing of this property which is part of the 527 acre development. This
100 -acre tract is just the golf course.
