R2003-0151 10-13-03 RESOLUTION NO. R2003-151 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PEARLAND, TEXAS, CREATING THE JOHN LIZER/MAGNOLIA/SOUTHFORK COMMITTEE. WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to investigate the feasibility of constructing an east-west thoroughfare from Pearland Parkway to SH288; and WHEREAS, one possible route incorporates parts of existing John Lizer Road as well as all of existing Magnolia and Southfork; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to provide for two-way communication between the City and interested citizens; and WHEREAS, the City Council believes that establishment of a committee of citizens would serve to provide for this communication. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PEARLAND, TEXAS: Section 1. There is hereby created a John Lizer/Magnolia/Southfork Committee which shall consist of not more than eight members to be appointed by the City Council. Section 2. The purpose of the committee is the sharing of information between interested citizens and representatives of the City and consultants working on behalf of the City on the potential John Lizer/Magnolia/Southfork route. The Committee shall not have recommending or decision making authority. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this the 13th day of October , A.D., 2003. RESOLUTION NO.
