PURPOSE OF HEARING - PROPOSED ANNEXATION
To consider the proposed annexation of approximately 12.58 acres near the southwest
corner of SH 288 and FM 2234.
STAFF REVIEW OF PROPOSED SERVICE PLAN
Deputy City Manager, Alan Mueller, stated this annexation consists of 12.58 acres on the
west side of SH 288 just south of McHard Road/Shadowcreek Parkway. This property was
previously part of MUD No. 5 (Southdown MUD). This property has been deannexed from
MUD No. 5 at the request of the property owners Pearland Investments. The 12.58 acres
are being annexed at the request of the owners of the property. This is the first of two
required Public Hearings. The notices have been published in the City's official newspaper,
the Pearland Reporter as required by state law. Notices have been mailed to the Justice
Department and service providers. Mr. Mueller gave a detail overview of the service plan
for this property.
