AN ORDINANCE CANVASSING RETURNS AND DECLARING RESULTS
OF CITY OFFICIAL AND SPECIAL PURPOSE ELECTION HELD IN
THE CITY OF PEARLAND, TEXAS, AND SUSPENDING RULES
REQUIRING ORDINANCE TO BE READ UPON THREE SEPARATE DAYS.
WHEREAS, there was held in the City of Pearland, Texas on the
6th day of April, 1968, an election at which there were submitted to
the duly qualified Yesident electorate of said Pearland, Texas, for
their action thereupon, the following officials and propositions:

That the proposition - salaries - Mayor and
City Council - received a majority of the qualified votes cast at
said election and the City Council is authorized to pay the $aid
salaries beginning October 1, 1968.
Section V. That the rule requiring that an ordinance be
read on three separate days is hereby suspended and this ordinance
shall become effective upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor.
