Ord. 0173A 1972-08-28ORDINANCE NO. 173A AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PEARLAND, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION XIV OF ORDINANCE NO. 173; PROVIDING A REPEALING CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY• COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PEARLAND, TEXAS: SECTION I: That Section XIV of Ordinance No. 173 entitled "Redemption of Impounded Dogs" passed and adopted the 24th day of August, 1970, be and the same is hereby repealed and the following substituted therefor: SECTION XIV REDEMPTION OF IMPOUNDED DOGS: The owner of any dog impounded may redeem such dog at any time prior to sale or destruction by the payment of a Five Dollars($5.00) impounding fee and Three Dollars ($3.00) per day for each day or part of a day such dog shall have been impounded. Any owner of unlicensed dogs impounded, in addition to the above fees, shall have said dog vaccinated, or show proof of vaccination, and licensed immediately upon redemption. SECTION II. All .ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. SECTION III. If any section, paragraph, clause, or sentence shall be declared void or unenforceable or unconstitutional, it is hereby declared the intention of the City Council of the City of Pearland, Texas, that the remainder of such ordinance shall remain in full force and effect. SECTION IV. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force on the tenth day after its publication in the official newspaper of the the City of Pearland, Texas.
