WFTEREAS, Ordinance Number 110, of the City of Pearland,
Brazoria County, Texas, being the Electrical Code, does not provide a
method whereby the ElectricalInspector can enforce its provisions on
private property;
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PEARLAND,
TEXAS:
That said Ordinance Number 110 is hereby amended as follows:
If the City Electrical Inspector is aware of what appears to be electrical
work being done in the City, and if no permit has been obtained for such
work, he shall notifg the party in whose name the electrical service is
supplied according to Electrical Company records, that such party should
obtain a permit. If, after ten (10) days no permit has been obtained the
' City Electrical Inspector shall notify the Electric Supply Company to
discontinue electrical servlce and same shall not be restored until permit
is obtained. During the above described ten das period the owner of the
' premises involved may show the Electrical Inspector that the electrical
' work is not such that comes under the provisions of the Electrical Code,
and does not require a permit. Under such circumstances the electric
service shall not be discontinued, and no permit shall be required.

introduced an Ordinance and
moved the Chairman that it be passed. The Motion was seconded by
Councilman CALVIN . The said Ordinance was read in
full and the motion was carried by the following vote:
