1983-08-01 CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION REGULAR MEETING MINUTESMINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PEARLAND, TEXAS HELD ON AUGUST 1, 1983, AT 7:15 P.M. ~. IN THE CITY SERVICE CENTER, 3501 E. ORANGE, PEARLAND, TEXAS. The regular meeting was called to order with the following present: Dan Keller - Chairperson Gail Birdsong - Vice Chairperson James Gilbert - Commissioner Mary Hickling - Director **** r. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Chairperson Keller declared the- minutes of the June 6, 1983 meeting to be approved as circulated. The Commission agreed. ACTIVITY: Commissioner Gilbert was recognized by Chairperson Keller as the Civil Service Commission's new member. A personnel status change from Chief Stanford dated 6-23-83, and a letter of resignation from Henrietta Milstead were received as information. Discussion was held concerning property and equipment of ,the Civil Service Commission. In order to preclude any abuse of the .present policies, which: is to allow all Pearland Police Officers the use of material, the Commission will provide a letter or notice concerning the use of Commission and/or City Property. ( See attachment ) Statement of expense for the month of ..July .was presented by Director Hickling, and was approved for payment by the Commission. Keller moved for ratification of actions of previous meeting wherein the expense report was turned over. to Dorothy Thompson for payment. Motion carried. The Court was not held due to the hurricane and inclement prevailing weather. You were not in attendance for court as you. were required to be but since court was not officially in session, you are not responsible for missing court, therefore no penalty is attached.
