CORPORATION ("PEDC") BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF PEARLAND,
TEXAS, HELD MONDAY, OCTOBER 1, 2001, 5:30 P.M. IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS,
CITY HALL, 3519 LIBERTY DRIVE, PEARLAND, TEXAS.
I. The meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m. with the following present:

II. Purpose of Hearing: To consider use of the one-half cent sales tax for construction of Oiler
Drive and accompanying overpass from State Highway 35 to Veterans Drive.

IV. Citizen Comments: Tom Reid, 2716 Stratford, stated that he was happy when the Chamber
of Commerce and the community adopted the use of the one-half cent sales tax for economic
development, and that it was understood that at least 25% of the funds could be used for City
infrastructure. He stated that he believes that this is a very appropriate use of the sales tax
revenues.
V. Board of Directors/Staff Discussion: Board member Bill Chase asked to verify that the
project only involved bringing Oiler Drive to Veterans Drive, not FM 1128
VI. Adjournment: Board member Charlie Phillip made the motion, seconded by Board member
Connie Beaumont to adjourn the meeting.
