"Texas Hometown History". We have years of experience producing quality television
shows, videos, commercials, and documentaries. Our award winning team is excited to
offer you the opportunity to participate in our next documentary about your town. Many
philanthropic individuals, companies, and charitable funds have contributed to our
projects before.
Our documentary will be given to your mayor to hold a premier, given to the local history
museum and/or library, given to the local municipal channel (if there is one), provided to
the local PBS channel, provided to area hotels for their in house channel, and given to the
local school district and universities to show students about the history of the town they
are living in. It will also be available on the Internet on our website,
W\\~\v. texns!lometo'\llhistoi"Y .com.
Preservation oflocal history is something we all have a duty to cherish, and with help
from the community, we are dedicated to making this dream a reality. Now is the time to
begin work on your area history show, as interviews with those who lived it are available

Dear Chris Swanson and Gil Allison,
I appreciate you both visiting with me to explain the Texas Hometown History Documentary
project and leaving me the CD showing your fine work in preparing the documentary for the City
of Pasadena. As President of the Pearland Historical Society, I am always very interested in any
project which I feel would help preserve the heritage and history of "old Pearland." Not only do I
envision your project as helping to preserve our history, it is my belief it will also be very helpful
as a tool to educate our young people in school about our history and will also be a helpful tool for
promoting Pearland in general. Our Historical Society has received excellent co-operation from
both the Pearl and School District and the City of Pearland for our historical preservation projects.
I feel your project would be an excellent addition for our entire community.
Our Historical Society has envisioned a project such as yours but never had the talents nor the
resources to proceed with one. I certainly hope you can obtain a sufficient number of sponsors to
go forward on this worthy project for the people of Pearl and. Good luck and feel free to call on
me for any further assistance.

Re: Pasadena history documentary
Dear Chris,
I wanted to congratulate you on a job well done. Every community deserves, rather
needs, to have its history documented and you have done an excellent job with the City of
Pasadena, Texas.
History is the record of who we are and how we got here. As the pace oflife speeds up
and we move from place to place, we lose our sense of belonging. New residents to a
community have no connection to the town and thus, a lack of responsibility for what it is
and what it will be. By introducing them to the history of the town, the events, the people
and the process by which it has became the place they now call home, you create a
feeling of familiarity that is conducive to responsible and community active citizens.
Most communities have a museum and a library. Unfortunately, these tend to be passive
activities. As a local historian I can appreciate that your documentary on the community
connects the dots and makes the history come alive. Many communities have a public
channel TV station that can provide this important program direct to the public. Civic
and community clubs are always looking for speakers and the documentary is a natural
program that will share the history of the town. Heritage tourist can achieve a far better
understanding of the community's history. Students in the primary and secondary school
system have study units on local history and your documentary makes that an easy
program to present
Thank you for a job will done. The content and presentation is on par with any national
PBS program. Good luck in future ventures.

Dear Chris,
I wanted to send you a note of thanks for choosing Pasadena as your first city for your
Texas Hometown documentary series. Pasadena has a rich and wonderful history, and
you did a good job covering all of the elements of our past in a concise and easy to
understand format.
I am sure this project will greatly educate students and residents about our heritage. It
will also be great for visitors to our city to see all that Pasadena has to offer and how it
came to be. The show will be an effective tool in increasing knowledge about Pasadena.
I am confident that it will encourage people to visit, stay in our lodging, eat at our
restaurants, and visit our historical sites.
Please let me know ifI can be of any further assistance with your worthwhile project.
Sincerely,

DearMr~
Congratulations on your new documentary highlighting Texas towns. Y ourifilm project is
very exciting. I am not familiar with anything like it having been done before. It will appeal
to a wide array of Texans, especially historians, teachers and students.
I support your efforts in telling these important stories, and I encourage you to explore the
historical resources available in the Texas General Land Office. Our archi~es contain over 35
million documents and maps that tell the story of Texas history going back ~o the Spanish era. .
As you may be aware, our Save Texas History program seeks to preserve the stories of Texas
as told by these historic documents for future generations.
Our archivists have experience working with researchers, and filmmakers arid I know they can
be of help to you, If there is anything I may be able to do to assist you, please feel free to let
me know.

TEXAS HOMETOWN HISTORY
I
To our sponsors:
As the generations pass we lose a lot of history and the great stories that
will never be told. We at Texas Hometown History are trying to save as
much of that history as we can on a one hour documentary.
Where we plan to provide the Home Town History show.
1. Our wed site WWW.TEXASHOMETOWNHISTORY.COM
2. Channel 8 T.V. Or local public broadcast station
3. Information about our show in the Texas Historical Society Magazine
(12,000 copies per quarter)
4. BOB BULLICK HISTORICAL MUSEUM (Austin TX.)
5. The City for their marketing to promote the City
6. The Schools, Universities and grade schools as an educational tool in
and out of the classroom
7. The Motels and Hotels on their in house channels
8. Builders and Realtors linked to our web site for people to view that
are moving into the Area.
The mid size cities we produce need 6 sponsors at $17,000.00 each, their
advertisement will stay on that town's DVD for ten years. We only let
one from an industry on each documentary. We hope that we can count
on your support.
For more information please call.
