M. Absent from the Hearing: Commissioners Kevin Cole, Rob Larsen, and Charles Philipp. PURPOSE OF THE HEARING: APPLICATION NO. 4$ NUMBER OF SIGNATURES ON ATTENDANCE ROSTER: 1 REQUEST OF KENT BALLARD, AGENT FOR DAVID H. SCHULTZ, OWNER, FOR AN AMENDMENT TO THE LAND USE AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT ORDINANCE FROM CLASSIFICATION GENERAL BUSINESS DISTRICT (GB) TO SINGLE FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT (R-3) ON THE FOLLOWING DESCRIBED PROPERTY, TO -WIT: A parcel of land containing 4.4255 acres (192,776 square feet) more or less out of that certain tract conveyed by George A. Bofysil, Trustee, to the Resolution Trust Corporation, as receiver for Continental Savings by deed recorded under County Clerk's File No. 94007356, official records, Brazoria County, Texas, and out of that tract conveyed by the Dow Chemical to Continental Oil Company by deed recorded in Volume 1379, Page 960, Deed Records, Brazoria County, Texas, said 4.4255 acre tract being in the James E. Perry and Emily Austin League, Abstract No. 111, Brazoria County, Texas (Sunset Meadows Subdivision). Self -introductions were given by the members of the Planning and Zoning Commission. PERSONS WISHING TO SPEAK FOR THE PROPOSED REQUEST 1. Al Lentz, 5703 Rockland. Mr. Lentz explained his client wants to purchase this acreage and extend the residential area alo.:g Sunset Drive. Using the overhead projector, Mr. Lentz pointed out the site and stated this would be a continuation of the current R-3 zone up to a general business district. PERSONS WISHING TO SPEAK AGAINST THE PROPOSED REQUEST: NONE QUESTION AND ANSWER PERIOD: NONE It was announced the Planning and Zoning Commission would meet immediately after this hearing in the second floor conference room to consider this zoning request.
