_,Thegular meeting of the City of Pearland City Council was held
onursday July 2, 1964s at the City Hall, 14429 Texas Avenue,,
with the following city officials and guests present.
Mayor E. T. Gibbons, Aldermen John G. Kegley, Steven A. Shukanes,
Jr., Gene E. Sanders, Thomas P. Alexander and Secretary W. A.
McClellan. Alderman Victor A. Nolen absent.
Guests: William C. Walsh, P. L. Marquess, Lloyd J. Yost, Bob Pascoe,
Jim Inman, E. A. Wasek, Charles Mushrush, Rolly C. Kolbye, C. W.
Bailey, Ed Rivers, C. L. Dietrich, Larry L. Corbett, D. E. Randle,
Paul Mushrush, Mel Black, Rex L..Rowell, Katherine�Rushing, David
A. Stokes,Qand Frank D. Barringer.
Motion made by Kegley and seconded by Shukanes that reading of
minutes of previous meeting be postponed until the next regular
meeting. All members voted "aye" no "noes."

Motion made by Kegley and seconded by Shukanes that -the following
invoices and sa1ries be approved for"payment. All members voted
"aye" nog "noes ."

Motion made by Kegley and seconded by Shukanes that Ordinance
No. 92, authorizing Eddleman, Pollock and Fosdick, Inc., to pay
the sum of $4,772.14 to Walsh and McLaren for engineering services
as per Estimate No. 1. All members voted "aye" no "noes.}'

Motion made by Kegley and seconded by Shukanes that Ordinance No.
93, authorizing and approving a contract for personaland
professional services of Financial AdlUsors and Attorneystat-Law
to be rendered in connection with the construction of permanent
waterworks improvements for the City of Pearland, Texas, in
connection with the issuance of $110,000.00 in City of Pearland
Time Warrants.i� All members voted "aye" no "noes."

Motion made by Shukanes ;and seconded by Alexander that Ordinance
No.,94, authorizing.and approving a contract for professional
engineering servies be rendered in connection with the construction
of permanent waterworks improvements for the City of Pearland, Texas,
in connection with the issuance of $110,000.00 ,City of Pearland
Time Warrants be adopted. All members voted "aye" no "noes."
Motion carried.
Mayor Gibbons recognized,the visitQrs representing three Civic
Groups w4ich had ,been invited to the meeting to ask questions and
discuss the.issues involved in the special.bond election to be
held on.July 11, 19614.. Following -the discussion the victors
excused themselves and the Council continued in session.
Motion made by Alexander that Council approve the low bid accepted
by Mr. C. Cunningham for sewer line extensiop south of Broadway in
Block 8 of Mimosa Acres.Subdivision, according to plan outlined
in Minutes of March 30, 1964. Seconded by Kegley. All members
voted "aye" no "noes."
