1964-06-11 CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES'AM --The regular meeting of the City of Pearland City Council was held on Thursday Nig4t, June 11, 1964s at the City Hall, 14429 Texas Avenue., -with the following City Officials and guests present. Meyor E. T. Gibbons, Aldermen Gene E. Sanders, Thomas P. Alexander, Steven A. Shukanes, Jr. and John G. Keg ley, Alderman Nolen present latter part of the meeting. Guests: Frank D. Barringer, Orlon O'Day, Ed Rivers, Jack David L. Smith, Jr. Minutes of the special meeting with the Drainage District on May 19, 1964, the special meeting held on June 3, 19642 and the regular meeting held on June 4, 1964, and the special .meeting held,on June 10, 1964 were read and approved. Raines an,:'.independent professional engineer. Seconded by Shukanes. - Aldermen Shukanes, Kegley and Sanders voted "age" Alderman Alexander abstatned, no "noes". Motion carried. Motion made by Nolen and seconded by Kegley that water and sewer '- service lines be extended to the property line of Sherwood Subdivision in accordance with the policy of the former Brazoria _ County Water Control and Improvement District No. 3. Aldermen Nolen, Kegley, Shukanes and Sanders voted"aye", Alderman , Alexander abstained, no "noes". Motion carried. Motion made by Kegley and seconded by Alexander that Mr. Howard Suttle be appointed as Election Judge, Mrs. John Worrall as Assistant Election Judge, with Mrs. Jon a �flin, Mrs. Jack Miller, and Mrs. Gene Remy as assistants for`.theeA Iection)to be held on Saturday July 11, 1964. All Aldermen voted "aye" no "noes". Motion carried. Motion made by Kegley and,secended by Shukanes that the Sub- division Ordinance be amended as follows: „ That Ordinance be amended - Street paving Item Page 27 of Sudivision Ordinance Item 2 ,class Flexible Base - omit SubtopicX"8". compacted sand er stabili,zed.shall, road gravel or crushed limestone rad and substitute in lieu, 6" compacted crushed ime,- stone in all future subdivisions. Aldermen Shukanes Kegley, Nolen and Alexander voted "aye" Sanders voted "nod'. Ayes being in majority the motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 10:00,P. M.
