MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PEARLAND
TEM9, HELD IN THE CITYHALLANNEX ON SEPTEMBER 23, 1966 AT 7:40 P. M.
A special meeting of the City Council of the City of Pearland was called
to order by Mayor D. R. Keller with the following present:

PURPOSE OF MEETING:

To discuss moving the"Walnut Street Sewer Line and any other business
that might be brought before the Council.
INVOCATION:
The invocation was given by Mayor D. R. Keller.
Councilman Courtright entered Council Chambers at 7:45 P. M.
Mayor Keller recessed meeting at 7:46 P. M.
Reconvened at 7:50 P. M.
WALNUT STREET SEWER LINE:
Mayor Keller read the following telegram which was received by telephone
from Mr. Robert G. Fleming, Director of Central Operations, Texas Water
Quality Board:
" RE WPC-TEX-455 WE CAN FORSEE NO DIFFICULTY IN MOVING TH]b-
WALNUT STREET INTERCEPTOR SEWER APPROXIMATELY 400 FT SOUTH
PRIOR TO FORMAL APPROVAL OF THE CHANGE ORDER IF THIS CHANGE
IS ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY, THE ENGINEER AND THE CONTRACTOR.
NO PROJECT DELAY WILL RESULT."
A _discussion was held regarding various right-of-way papers involved
in this proposed move of the line. The following papers were presented:
1. Easement Deed signed by Mr. Berry Miller; 2. Letter from Mr.
George M. Hail, Jr., Trustee; 3. Letter from Mr. E. D. LeBouf.
Councilman Watson stated that he would accept the telegram received
from Mr. Fleming so confirmation of Councilman Courtright's conversations
with Mr. Fleming.
It was moved by Councilman Sanders, seconded by Councilman Courtright
that the conditions of the motion made in the meeting of September 16,
1968, by himself, and dealing with the movement of the Walnut Street
Trunk Line WPC TEX 455 be declared fulfilled and that the Administrator
be relieved of his instructions, "cause the -Engineer to -proceed with
necessary changes, etc." until such time as all formal I easement documents

have been received concerning this matter.
Motion was originally seconded by Councilman Watson, but was withdrawn.
Motion failed 3 to 2. Councilman Ellis, Councilman Watson and Council-
man Wasek opposed.
It was moved by Councilman Sanders, seconded by Councilman Watson that
the subject of changing the location of the Walnut Street Trunk Line
not be considered by this Council.again. Motion passed 5 to 0.
Meeting adjourned by motion 8:45 P. M.
