Pearland, Texas
Gentlemen:
I hereby submit in writing, confirmation of my verbal
resignation made to the City Council on February 15, 1968 as
City Administrator and City Secretary of the City of Pearland.
Near the first of February, I had determined that it would
be necessary for me to move to Arkansas to take care of my
financial interests. I apologize for having to leave so
soon after by being employed here. If I had known of this
prior to my employment, I would not have accepted this
position.
I will be leaving here with deep regrets. In my short stay
I have grown to love the people here. I am deeply indebted
to the employees of the City as their cooperative and helpful
attitude has helped me greatly in carrying out my duties. I
could not have asked for a finer Council to work for. You have
treated me with the utmost respect and confidence. I feel that
with this type of relationship, my successor will be able to
provide a valuable service to you and the City of Pearland.
Yours very truly,
/sl Jerry D. Henderson"
