1971-12-13 CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES297 MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PEARLAND, TEXAS, HELD ON DECEMBER 13, 1971, AT 7:35 P. M. IN THE CITY HALL, 2335 N. TEXAS AVENUE, PEARLAND, TEXAS. A'regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Pearland was called to order by Mayor Keller with the following present: It was moved by Councilman Wasek, seconded by Councilman Frank that the minutes of the r-. regular meeting held on November 22, 1971 be approved as submitted. Motion passed 4 to _A. APPROVAL OF EXPENSES: It was moved by Councilman McComb, seconded by CouncilmanDeShazer that the following checks be approved for payment: General Fund Payroll Nos. Mayor D. R. Keller 5376 Councilman E. A. Wasek through Councilman Carlton McComb through Councilman James 0. DeShazer through Councilman Benny J. Frank through City Manager William E. Wolff through City Attorney Bobby J. Williams through City Secretary Dorothy L. Cook Absent: Councilman Cecil W. Griffin INVOCATION & PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: Water & Sewer Expenditures 5346 The invocation was given by Dr. Forrest Hawkins, Council Chaplain. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by City Attorney Bobby Williams. Water Construction Fund APPROVAL OF MINUTES: It was moved by Councilman Wasek, seconded by Councilman Frank that the minutes of the r-. regular meeting held on November 22, 1971 be approved as submitted. MAYOR'S ACTIVITY REPORT: Mayor Keller read a letter dated December 7, 1971 from the Texas Railroad Commission, Gas Utilities Division regarding a Hearing on City Gate Rate -Charge increase requested by Pennzoil on December 21, 1971. 290 COMMITTEE REPORTS: Councilman McComb's report to be moved to the last item of business. CITIZENS: Mr. W. C. Harding - Mr. Harding appeared before the Council with a request to place a mobile home on property at 4408 W. Broadway primarily for the purpose of an office. Mr. Harding was given a copy of the City's Ordinance No. 164 regulating Mobile Homes on individual lots and requested to take this matter up with the City Attorney at a later date. M Mrs. Frances Jamison - Mrs. Jamison signed the Agenda to address the Council. Mrs. Jamison read a prepared statement to the City Council relating to several subjects. UNFINISHED BUSINESS: CONSIDERATION OF FINAL ACCEPTANCE OF IMPROVEMENTS IN SECTION II, GREEN TEE TERRACE AND The consideration of final acceptance of improvements and release of building permits in Section II of Green Tee Terrace was brought before the Council. All items necessary for final acceptance were in the file of the City. It was moved by Councilman Wasek, seconded by Councilman DeShazer that final acceptance be approved and building permits be released in Section II of Green Tee Terrace. Motion passed 4 to 0.
