R2003-0010 01-27-03RESOLUTION NO. R2003-10 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PEARLAND, TEXAS, APPROVING AND ADOPTING THE GOALS PROMULGATED DURING THE CITY'S 2003 ANNUAL PLANNING WORKSHOP. WHEREAS, the City Council realizes the necessity of identifying primary goals and priorities to ensure the constant pursuit of improving the quality of life for the citizens of Pearland; and WHEREAS, the City Council held a workshop with City staff on January 11, 2003, at which time specific goals and objectives for the City's future were enumerated; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PEARLAND, TEXAS: Section 1. That the City Council hereby adopts and embraces the 2003 City Council's Goals attached hereto as Exhibit "A". PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED this January , A.D., 2003. Manager, Projects Dir. Objective 2 Develop traffic plan for the widening of Dixie Farm Road during Projects Dir. Construction. Goal #2 Flooding and Drainage Objective 1 Continue lobbying for Clear Creek improvements through a coalition with City Manager the City of Friendswood, BDD#4, and GCCDD. Objective2 Evaluate detention and other requirements for new development to Deputy City determine if additional provisions should be added, or if current Manager, requirements should be modified. City Engineer Objective 3 Determine causes and evaluate solutions for new drainage problems in areas Deputy City that did not previously experience drainage difficulties. Goal #6 Infrastructure Objective 1 Protect the City's investment through appropriate maintenance of public Dir. of Public infrastructure. Works, Dir. of Parks and Recreation Objective 2 Continue long-term water supply planning efforts w/Gulf Coast Water Deputy City Authority and other alternative sources. Manager Objective 3 Keep up street appearances, signs, parks, streetlights, and other details.
