M) 1. APPROVAL OF EXPENDITURE - JUDGMENT - CITY OF PEARLAND VS JAMES C. YOUNG. 2. APPROVAL OF EXPENDITURE - REPAIR OF SEWER LINE - MAINLAND CONSTRUCTION COMPANY. 3. AWARDING OF BID NO. 70-11 - GARBAGE UNIT. CITY OF PEARLAND VS aAME_$ C. YOUNG - JUDGMENT: This item moved to a later time on the agenda pending arrival of City Attorney. APPROVAL OF EXPENDITURE - REPAIR OF SEWER LINE - MAINLAND CONSTRUCTION COMPANY: It was moved by Councilman McComb, seconded by Councilman Black that Check No. 4.776 of the Water & Sewer Fund be approved to the Mainland Construction Company in the amount of $17,801.88 for emergency repairs to Corrigan sewer line as authorized by Article 2368a of the Texas Vernon Civil Statutes. Motion passed 4 to 0. Mr. Unrah, Water & Sewer Superintendent for the City, was acting supervisor for the completion of this repair work. AWARDING OF BID -NO. 70 -11 -GARBAGE UNIT: City Administrator Wolff recommended that the City Council accept the bid of i 1p5� i the Davis Truck & Equipment Company as the best bid. It was moved by Councilman Black, seconded by Councilman Griffin that the Davis Truck & Equipment Company be awarded the bid on the garbage unit for a bid price of $12,300.00 (without Michelin tires) and that the bid security of unsuccessful bidders be returned. Motion passed 5 to 0. City Administrator Wolff to secure Michelin tires for this unit from the Zuber Tire Company. Meeting recessed at 6:45 - Reconvened 6:50 P. M. APPROVAL OF EXPENDITURE - JUDGMENT - CITY OF PEARLAND VS JAMES C. YOUNG: City Attorney Williams advised the Council that Release of Judgment on this case would be executed by James. Young, Orlen O'Day and the Pearland State Bank and recommended approval of Check No. 4793 in the amount of $18,026.72 which covers the judgment plus interest i.n'C4use'Ng. 47,041. It was moved by Councilman Black, seconded by Councilman Wasek that Check No. 4793 on the Water & Sewer Fund in the amount of $18,026.72 be paid. Motion passed 5 to 0. ADJOURN: It was moved by Councilman Griffin, seconded by Councilman McComb that the meeting adjourn. Motion passed 4 to 1. Council -man DeShazer--opposed. Meeting adjourned: 7:00 P. M.
