1973-09-27 CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES269 MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF -THE CITY OF PEARLAND, TEXAS, HELD ON SEPTEMBER 27, 1973, AT 7_30 P. M. IN THE CITY HALL, 2335 N. TEXAS AVENUE, PEARLAND, TEXAS. The meeting was called to order with the following present: Mayor Carlton McComb Councilman Cecil W. Griffin Councilman Harry Farley Councilman Gene E. Sanders Councilman Tom Reid Councilman Benny J. Frank City Manager William E. Wolff City Secretary Dorothy L. Cook Absent from the meeting: City Attorney Bobby J. Williams INVOCATION AND PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: The invocation was given by Rev. Kenneth Kesselus, Minister of St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Pearland. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Mrs. Dorothy Thompson, Assistant City Secretary/Treasurer of the City. PURPOSE OF THE MEETING: 1. Amendment to the 1972-1973 budget. AMENDMENT TO THE 1972-73 BUDGET: City Manager Wolff presented the following amendments to the 1972-73 budget: AMENDMENT TO THE 1972-73 BUDGET: INCOME GENERAL FUND BUDGET YEAR 1972-73 Estimated Income $865,436.00 Budgeted Income 805,958.00 + 59,478.00 EXPENDITURES GENERAL FUND BUDGET 1972-73 Estimated Expenditures $864,175.00 Budgeted Expenditures 805,958.00 58,217.00 INCOME WATER & SEWER BUDGET 1972-73 Estimated Income $307,415.00 Budgeted Income 277,200.00 + 30,215.00 27'0 EXPENDITURES WATER & SEWER BUDGET 1972-73 Estimated Expenditures $301,185.00 Budgeted Expenditures 277,200.00 - 23,985.00 It was moved by Councilman Griffin, seconded by Councilman Sanders that the amendment to the 1972-73 Budget be approved as presented by the City Manager. Motion passed 5 to 0. There being no further business to be discussed at this meeting, the Mayor adjourned the meeting at 7:35 P. M. Minutes approved as read and/or corrected this _� day of� A.
