IN THE CITY HALL, 2335 N. TEXAS AVENUE, PEARLAND, TEXAS. The Hearing was called to order with the following present: Mayor Councilman Councilman Councilman City Manager City Secretary Carlton McComb Cecil W. Griffin Tom Reid Harry Farley William E. Wolff Dorothy L. Cook Absent from the Hearing: Councilman Gene E. Sanders and Councilman B. J. Frank. OTHERS PRESENT: William R. Brown, Attorney for Houston Lighting and Power Company, H. R. Dean, Houston Lighting and Power Company, 0. H. Schroeder, Division Manager, of Houston Lighting and Power Company, Donald G. Gartman, and Jo Anne Brasher, reporter for the Sun Progress. INVOCATION AND PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: The invocation was given by Councilman Reid. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Don Gartman. PURPOSE OF THE HEARING: I j HOUSTON LIGHTING AND POWER COMPANY'S REQUEST FOR RATE INCREASE .. PERSONS SPEAKING FOR THE REQUESTED RATE INCREASE: William R. Brown, Attorney for the Houston Lighting and Power Company. PERSONS WISHING TO SPEAK AGAINST THE PROPOSED RATE INCREASE: None QUESTIONS FROM THE CITY COUNCIL: A question and answer period was held between the members of the City Council, the Mayor, and William R.
