1973-07-30 CITY COUNCIL PUBLIC HEARING MEETING MINUTESMINUTES OF A PUBLIC HEARING HELD BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PEARLAND TEXAS, ON JULY 30, 1973, AT 7:00 P. M. IN THE CITY HALL AND THE VETERAN'S OF FOREIGN'WARS'HALL, PEARLAND, TEXAS. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Pro Tem Griffin with the following present: Mayor Pro Tem Cecil W. Griffin Councilman Gene E. Sanders Councilman Tom Reid Councilman Harry Farley Councilman B. J. Frank City Secretary Dorothy L. Cook Mayor McComb was absent from the meeting due to prior commitment'.- INVOCATION;'AND PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: The invocation was given by Councilman Reid. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Councilman Sanders. PURPOSE OF THE HEARING: Application by Brazoria County Disposal Corporation for operation of a Sanitary Landfill - (Near Dixie Farm Road and State Highway 35, and commonly known as the Hill Sand Pit).
