The Meeting was called to order at 5:37 P.M.

IV. REGULAR AGENDA
1. Consideration and Possible Action to approve the minutes of the Animal
Shelter Advisory Committee held on January 21, 2026.
• Motion to accept by Member Parks, Seconded by Member Dunham.

Rabies Update: 3 confirmed positive rabies test result in the City for the period with no
human or animal exposure.
Volunteer Program: Volunteer hours for the period totaled 1,402 between the shelter,
events, and offsite enrichment. Volunteer hours are up by 525 hours since the last period.
Staffing: We are currently fully staffed.
Training: 2 ACOs currently in Phase 4, 1 ACO currently in Phase 2B.
Surgeries: Surgeries are performed all day on Mondays every week. Across 16 surgery days,
a total of 90 spay/neuter procedures have been successfully completed in house and a total
of 10 were completed by an external partner.
Social Media: Our Facebook page is up to 23,159 followers. In the last 90 days, the shelter's
page views were up by 8.6%. Our Instagram views are up to 5.8K views.
Foster Program: We currently have 3 dogs in Foster to Adopt, and 9 kittens being fostered
as bottle babies. 1 dog is in Foster at Pearland Barkway.
Events: We partnered with 3 Little Pitties and hosted a free vaccine/microchip clinic. In total
we vaccinated 239 dogs and 71 cats. We microchipped a total of 131 animals. We were
invited by Killens Steakhouse to a Pups on the patio event. We attended the Pearland
Farmers Market and adopted 1 dog from that event. Baseball season has officially started so
we are starting Waggin Wednesday's at the Sugarland Space Cowboys games. Our first
attendance at a game we adopted out 2 dogs. We have partnered with Pearland ISD and
attend baseball/softball home games with adoptable dogs at Dawson for the season which
resulted in 1 dog being adopted.
