RESOLUTION NO. R2026-124
A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Pearland, Texas, nominating
a candidate for a position on the Texas Municipal League
Intergovernmental Risk Pool Board of Trustees.
WHEREAS, the Texas Municipal League Intergovernmental Risk Pool Board of Trustees
is comprised of fifteen voting members, twelve of whom are elected by the Pool’s membership
to serve staggered 6-year terms; and
WHEREAS, Every even-numbered year, the term of office for one-third of the elected
Trustees expires, and an election is held to fill those designated Places; and
WHEREAS, Terms for Trustees in Places 1-4 expire October 1, 2026; and
WHEREAS, the City of Pearland, as a member of the risk pool, is entitled to nominate
one qualified person for the election; and
WHEREAS, Nominations must be mailed to the Board Secretary, with a short
biographical sketch of the nominee and showing the designated Place for which the nomination
is made;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PEARLAND, TEXAS:
Section 1. That the City Council hereby nominates the following person to the following
place to serve on the Texas Municipal League Intergovernmental Risk Pool Board of Trustees:
Place 4 – Austin Bleess, City Manager, Jersey Village
Section 2. That the City Secretary is hereby authorized and directed to ensure that a
copy of this Resolution is delivered by Friday, August 2, 2026, to the following address:
