A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Pearland, Texas, nominating a
candidate for a vacancy on the Brazoria Central Appraisal District Board of
Directors.
WHEREAS, there is a vacancy on the Brazoria Central Appraisal District Board of
Directors,
WHEREAS, pursuant to Texas Tax Code Section 6.034(i), when a vacancy occurs,
each taxing unit that cast votes for the departed board member is entitled to nominate one
(1) candidate to fill the vacancy,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Pearland desires to nominate a candidate
for such position on said board of directors; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PEARLAND, TEXAS:
Section 1. That the facts and recitations set forth in the preamble of this resolution are
hereby, adopted, ratified, and confirmed.
Section 2. That the following individual is hereby nominated as a candidate for the
vacant unexpried term, which exprires on December 31, 2027:
NOMINEE: Chad Thumann
ADDRESS: Pearland , TX 77581
Section 3. That the presiding officer of the governing body of this taxing unit is hereby
authorized and directed to deliver or cause to be delivered a certified copy of this resolution to the
Chief Appraiser of the Brazoria Central Appraisal District on or before July 27, 2026.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this the 13th day of July, A.D., 2026.
