A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Pearland, Texas, awarding a bid
for the purchase of twelve (12) unmarked police vehicles from McRee Ford,
Big Star Ford, and Caldwell Country Chevrolet, in the amount of $447,779.68.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PEARLAND, TEXAS:
Section 1. That the City of Pearland solicited bids for the purchase of fleet vehicles
through ITB 48-26.
Section 2. That three (3) vendors responded to the solicitation, and after evaluation of
the bids, staff recommend awarding contracts to the vendors providing the lowest responsive bids
for the required vehicles.
Section 3. That the City Council hereby awards bids for a total combined amount of
$447,779.68 for the purchase of twelve (12) unmarked police vehicles as follows:
•McRee Ford: One (1) Ford Transit Van in the amount of $48,834.68,
•Big Star Ford: One (1) Ford Escape in the amount of $27,495 .00, and
•Caldwell Country Chevrolet: Ten (10) vehicles, including Ford F-150, Ford Ranger, Chevy
Colorado, Chevy Silverado, and Chevy Traverse models, in the amount of $371,450.00.
Section 4. The City Manager or his designee is hereby authorized to execute a contract
for the purchase of fleet vehicles.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this the 27th day of April, A.D., 2026.
