A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Pearland, Texas, amending
Resolution No. R2026-35 ordering a Special Election to be held on May 2,
2026, for the purpose of incorporating the voting polling places and
schedules and providing for related matters in accordance with the Texas
Election Code.
Whereas, the City Council of the City of Pearland, Texas (the “City”) previously adopted
Resolution No. R2026-35 ordering a Special Election to be held on May 2, 2026; and
Whereas, the Texas Election Code requires a political subdivision to establish voting
polling places and schedules and incorporate them in the order and notice of election; and
Whereas, the City Council desires to amend Resolution No. R2026-35 to incorporate the
voting polling places and schedules as designated by Brazoria County, Texas; and
Whereas, Brazoria County has designated voting polling places and schedules consistent
with the Texas Election Code and operational requirements;
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PEARLAND, TEXAS:
Section 1. Resolution No. R2026-35 is hereby amended to incorporate the voting
polling places and schedules designated by Brazoria County, Texas.
Section 2. Early voting shall commence on Monday, April 20, 2026, and end on
Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at the locations and during the hours set forth in Exhibit A, attached
hereto.
Section 3. On Election Day, May 2, 2026, the polls shall be open from 7:00 a.m. to
7:00 p.m., at the locations set forth in Exhibit B, as required by Section 41.031 of the Texas
Election Code.
Section 4. Except as expressly amended herein, all other provisions of Resolution No.
R2026-35 shall remain in full force and effect.
Section 5. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at which this
Resolution was adopted was open to the public and that public notice of the time, place, and
purpose of said meeting was given as required by Chapter 551, Texas Government Code.
Section 6. This Resolution is effective immediately upon its passage and approval.
