CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES
AUGUST 25, 2025
The City Council of Pearland, Texas convened in a meeting on Monday, August 25, 2025 at the
Pearland City Hall Council Chambers, 3519 Liberty Drive, Pearland, Texas. The following
represents the actions taken by City Council in the order they occurred during the meeting. All
motions are made by Council in consecutive order, as determined by the Mayor.
I.CALL TO ORDER
II.INVOCATION AND THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE UNITED STATES OF
AMERICA FLAG AND TEXAS FLAG
Mayor Pro-Tem Byrom gave the Invocation and Councilmember Koza led the Pledge of

A.Consideration and Possible Action - Approval of the minutes of the
Pearland City Council Special Meeting held on July 25, 2025 and City
Council Regular Meeting held on July 28, 2025.
B.Consideration and Possible Action - Excuse the absence of
Councilmember Rushi Patel from the August 11, 2025 City Council Regular

participation in a Memorandum of Understanding (“MOU”) with the Keep
Pearland Beautiful (“KPB”) associated with the development and
maintenance of the Yard Wise Garden Project.

Council adjourned into Executive Session at 6:42 p.m.
Section 551.071 - Consultation with the City Attorney regarding potential
litigation related to enforcement of municipal regulations.
Section 551.087 - Deliberations regarding economic development
negotiations.
X.ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Cole adjourned the meeting at 8:08 p.m.
