PLANNING DAY PRESENTATION
ON APRIL 20, 2006
9:00 A.M. TO 11:00 A.M.
HELD IN THE COMMUNITY CENTER
LOCATED AT
3523 LIBERTY DRIVE, PEARLAND, TEXAS
OPENING OF PRESENTATION
Planning Director Lata Krishnarao opened the presentation at 9:11 a.m.
Those present were:
Assistant City Manager Nicholas Finan, Assistant City Manager Mike Hodge,
Planning Director Lata Krishnarao, Senior Planner Theresa Grahmann, Plans
and Plat Administrator Richard Keller, Planner I Diana DuCroz, Deputy City
Attorney Nghiem Doan, Parks Director Rhonda Cyrus, and Planning
Administrative Secretary Judy Krajca.
Also in attendance from the City of Pearland were:
Doug Kneupper (City Engineer, Narcisso Lira Assistant City Engineer), Kola
Olayiwola Director of Inspection Services), Larry Boles (Deputy Building Official),
Aubrey Harbin (Permits), Will Benson (PEDC), Jason Holmes (Engineering), and
Tom Daniels (Engineering)
Councilmember: Larry Marcott
Planning & Zoning Commission: Chairperson Ruby Sandars, Commissioners
Neil West, Darrell Diggs, and Jerry Koza, Jr. Arriving at the closing of the
presentation were Vice-Chairperson Sheryl Greiner, and Commissioner Henry
Fuertes
Notice was posted in the event that a quorum of the City Council or Planning and
Zoning Commission attended.
PRESENTATION
Planning Director Lata Krishnarao explained that the presentation would be
presented by Richard Keller on the Platting Procedures, followed by Diana
DuCroz on the Platting Review Process and Subdivision Approval Sequence,
and concluded with Rhonda Cyrus discussing the Park Dedication Requirements
and Tree Ordinance. Packets were available for the public to pickup.
Ms. Krishnarao introduced the Planning and Zoning Commission, and
Councilmember Marcott. She also introduced the Planning Staff.
Richard Keller made his presentation on Types of Plats based on the attached
PowerPoint slides. His presentation ended at 9:30 a.m.
Diana DuCroz presented the Plat Review Process based on the attached
PowerPoint slides. Her presentation ended at 9:40 a.m.
Rhonda Cyrus made her two presentations on the Park Dedication Requirements
and the Tree Ordinance. Her presentation ended at 9:53 a.m.
DISCUSSION
The floor was opened for discussion, but there were minimal questions. The
Planning and Zoning Commission did not participate in any discussion for the
record.
CONCLUSION
The meeting was finished with door prizes being drawn. The following
individuals won: Michael L. Ezzell with AT&T, Fred Duncan with Rec-Time, Inc.,
Judy Island with Prudential Allied Realtors, and Johnny Sims with Hardcastle
Real Estate.
The meeting ended at 10:00 a.m.
