HomeMy WebLinkAbout1986-10-01 BUILDING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS MEETING MINUTESMINUTES OF THE BUILDING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS AND APPEALS MEETING HELD ON OCTOBER 1, 1986, AT 7:30 P.M., IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS OF THE CITY HALL LOCATED AT 2335 NORTH TEXAS AVENUE, PEARLAND, TEXAS. The meeting was called to order with the following people present: ACTING CHAIRMAN WILLIAM R. KEELE MEMBER W.T. McCLELLAND MEMBER WILLIAM K, MILLER MEMBER RAYMOND BARRINGER DEPUTY BUILDING OFFICIAL ERNIE BUENROSTRO Member Ronald Parker was absent. Mr. Keele called the meeting to order at 7:29 p.m. He stated that the subject to be considered by the Board was a request for variance from the Standard Building Code to waive Chapter 3, Fire District, Section 302.2.6, two (2) hour fire resistance on exterior walls of Type IV buildings. After a brief discussion regarding distance from other buildings, exterior firebarriers, sawdust collectors, exhaust fans, firestats in fans, smoke detectors and sprinkler heads, W.T. McClelland made a motion to grant the variance regarding a two (2) hour exterior firewall subject to the requirement that ceiling fans with firestats and smoke detectors be installed. Raymond Barringer seconded the motion. Motion passed 4-0. The meeting adjourned at 8:00 p.m. MINUTES WERE APPROVED AND/OR CORRECTED THIS3/t LDAY OF A.D., 1986. WILLIAM R.
