MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PEARLAND, TEXAS,
HELD ON DECEMBER 27, 1976 AT 7:35 P.M. IN THE CITY HALL, 2335 N. TEXAS AVENUE,
PEARLAND, TEXAS.
The meeting was called to order with the following present:

Absent from meeting: Councilman Cecil W. Griffin and City Manager William Wolff.
INVOCATION AND PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE:
The invocation was given by Councilman Reid. The Pledge of Allegiance was led
by Councilman Farley.

It was moved by Councilman Farley, seconded by Councilman Reid that Bid No. 76-13
be received into the records and further that -they be referred to a Committee
Vconsisting of Robert , Bristow and Tom Howard of the EMS, City Manager Wolff and

himself for recommendation at a later date. Motion passed 4 to 0.
Councilman Farley was excused from the meeting�at this time to confer with the
representatives of the Vendors.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
It was moved by Councilman Gray, seconded by Councilman Frank that the minutes
of a Special Meeting and Public Hearing held on December 6, 1976 be approved as
submitted. Motion passed 3 to 0.
It was moved by Councilman Frank, seconded by Councilman Reid that the minutes
of a Regular Meeting held on December 13, 1976 be approved as submitted. Motion
passed 3 to 0.

NEW BUSINESS:
CONTRACT WITH SOUTHWESTERN APPRAISAL COMPANY. INC.:
Tax Assessor -Collector James O. DeShazer advised the City Council that the contract
under consideration by the City Council was the same as the approved last year.
It was moved by Councilman Reid, seconded by Councilman Gray that the Mayor be
authorized to execute the Contract with Southwestern Appraisal Company, Inc.
Motion passed 3 to 0.
APPLICATION NO. 34, W. B. BRADLEY - REQUEST FOR CHANGE IN LAND USE FROM NS to R-2:
The Planning and Zoning Commission by letter dated December 23, 1976 recommended
that the City Council approve the requested change.
It was moved by Councilman Reid, seconded by Councilman Gray that the report from
the Planning and Zoning Commission dated December 23, 1976 be received into the
records of the City and that a Public Hearing be called before the City Council
on Application No. 34 on January 17, 1977 at the Special Meeting of the City
Council which is scheduled to begin at 7:30 P.M. Motion passed 3 to 0.
ACTING TRAFFIC ENGINEER'S REQUEST FOR STOP SIGN ON KENT STREET:
This item will be placed on next agenda.
APPLICATIONS 36 and 36A, REQUEST FOR CHANGE IN LAND USE BY SOUTH CORRIDOR ONE, LTD.:
Application No. 36, a tract of land containing some 72 acres and located in Abstract
70, PU to General Residence and Application No. 36A, a tract of land containing 28
acres located in Abstract 70, PU to OP was submitted to the City Council.
It was moved by Councilman Gray, seconded by Councilman Reid that a Public Hearing
be called before the Planning and Zoning Commission on Applications 36 and 36A at
7:30 p.m. on January 18, 1977. Motion passed 3 to 0.
