HomeMy WebLinkAbout2024-12-16 City Council and Planning and Zoning Joint Workshop Meeting Minutes Pearland City Council and Planning and Zoning Minutes December 16, 2024 CITY OF PEARLAND, TEXAS CITY COUNCIL AND PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION JOINT PLANNED DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP MEETING MINUTES DECEMBER 16, 2024 The City Council and the Planning and Zoning Commission of Pearland, Texas convened in a meeting on Monday, December 16, 2024 at the Pearland City Hall Council Chambers, 3519 Liberty Drive, Pearland, Texas. The following represents the actions taken by City Council and Planning and Zoning Commission in the order they occurred during the meeting. All motions are made by Council and Planning and Zoning in consecutive order, as determined by the Mayor. I. CALL TO ORDER Mayor J. Kevin Cole called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. II. ROLL CALL AND CERTIFICATION OF QUORUM - CITY COUNCIL Mayor J. IV. CITIZEN COMMENTS There were no citizen comments. IV. Discussion: A request by Katy Harris, LJA Engineering, applicant, on behalf of CCAC Reserve Holdings, LLC., owner, for a Planned Development Workshop as required by the Unified Development Code, regarding a proposed amendment to the Shadow Creek Ranch Planned Development to allow for approximately 14.34 acres of land to be zoned for Multi-Family zoning to accommodate a multi-family residential development consisting of 414 units, to wit: Legal Description: Being 14.34 acres of land located in the William Morris Survey, Abstract No. 344, Brazoria County, Texas, more particularly being out of a called 39.801-acre tract conveyed to CCAC Reserve Holdings, LLC., by instrument of record under File No. 2014024710, Official Records of Brazoria County, Texas. General Location: Southeast Corner of Business Center Drive and Medical Center Drive, Pearland, Texas. Presentation was provided by Martin Griggs, Deputy Director of Community Development. The applicant, Katy Harris, AICP, Associate Principal; Jeff Gray, Chief Operating Officer, Graco Partners; and Alan Crosswell, property owner were present to answer questions. 2. Discussion: A request by Paige McKee, applicant, on behalf of Dixie Farm Property LLC., owner, for a Planned Development Workshop as required by the Unified Development Code, regarding a proposed RV, trailer, and boat storage facility (self-storage facility), on approximately 15.91 acres of land, to wit: Legal Description: Parcel 1: Lot 2, being 7.97 acres (347,082 sq. ft.), out of the Minor Plat of Zamarron Special, a 11.91-acre subdivision in the City of Pearland, in Brazoria County, Texas, according to the map or plat thereof, recorded under Brazoria County Clerk's File No. 2009037362 of the Official Public Records of Brazoria County, Texas. Parcel 2: A 7.94-acre tract of land being part of and out of 11.110-acre tract of land out of Lot 178 of the Zychlinski Subdivision of Section 28 H.T. & B.R.R. Company Survey, Abstract 551, Brazoria County, Texas, according to the map or plat thereof recorded in Volume 29, Page 9 of the Deed Records of Brazoria County, Texas, being said 7.94-acre tract of land being out of and part of land described in deed dated May 23, 2003, to Jesse G. Zamarron and Amalia V. Zamarron recorded under Brazoria County Clerk's File No. 2003052501. General Location: Northeast of the Intersection of Dixie Farm Road and Main Street, Pearland, Texas.
